Review & what's in my bag -- Rebecca Minkoff Edie Denim

Denim bags are quite trendy right now. I had a vintage Fendi denim and lizard bag that I sold awhile ago because it wasn’t quite right for me (goldilocks much?). Semi regret it but it just sat in my closet -- too small, hated that it was lumpy after placing items inside, but was so cute, the green trim was also perfect for the light colored denim, but I digress. While lusting after the Chanel quilted denim bag that caught traction at the beginning of the summer, I saw this mentioned as a dupe.
Let’s be honest, I’d rather drop $3500 on a car/car parts or home upgrades before a handbag. This seemed like an affordable dupe and having no real knowledge of the Rebecca Minkoff brand, I clicked purchase before I really thought it thru - end of season sale so I didn't have time to research. (Have we talked about impulse here?) Honestly, glad I did. Here’s a mini review of the Edie Denim bag...
Classic flap bag style that’s similar to Chanel. The dog clip on the front is only for show, which is lovely. This is in the smaller size (however I think I would prefer the larger but it was sold out). Hardware is sturdy; love that it’s in a silver tone rather than gold. Quilting feels nice and luxurious. One outside back pocket with snap closure, 2 large pockets and 2 zip spaces inside. The leather strap detail on the hardware is also a great touch as chain straps can be uncomfortable. I purchased a green acrylic chain to tchotch it up a bit (quality of this strap is meh) but I love the extra strap length option as this bag is the right size for a crook of the arm hold. Love the color — it’s the perfect shade of denim to go with anything.

What fits:
Mostly essentials - 2 card cases, 2 masks, key holder, gum, knife, hand sanitizer, business cards, a pen, lip balm, perfume and some hair ties (not shown). Can fit my sunglasses but I’d rather not jam them in there. Still have plenty of room for other small items as well. Glad that it fits so little as I tend to carry things I don’t need or use. But I do wish it fit my sunglasses and their case.
Overall I am super happy with this purchase. Bag is so soft and smushy while being constructed well. I can see this being season-less as I wear denim year round. It feels classy enough to pair with a dressy look or just day to day casual wear. Super smitten with this purchase and even possibly considering a larger size in leather at a later point. It's classy and playful which I just adore.
Until next time,
