Welcome back. It’s been awhile but I am not an influencer so I pay for most of these things myself. 😂
Anyway… coming at you today for a pros/cons of Bryr and No. 6 clogs. (Wtf is the actual influencer term?! I don’t even know. This is why I stick to my day job.)

I have had 2 pairs of Bryr’s - one of which I sold due to having the wrong size but I sure do miss having the color in my closet - missing you Fennel. Today I own a pair of Chloe in Agave, probably my most worn clog right now and a pair of No. 6 New School Clogs in Sand - I believe that’s the color name. They were bought second hand, so I am not too sure. Reviews aren’t too kind about the brand, but I found a great deal on a style/color I didn’t have so I gave it a shot.
I really enjoy buying, trying and selling clogs so it was sort of a no brainer if they didn’t work out. (Shameless plug to shop my Poshmark closet, hehe :D).
Let’s talk fit... Bryr is a bit wider in the toe box than the No. 6. My foot isn’t conventionally wide, but it’s flat and after years of not wearing shoes as a kid and karate, they are very rectangular (haha). Both brands advise that the leather will stretch to your foot over time. I found that the Bryr’s did this quickly. My No. 6 needed stuffing, stretching and a few wears until they were bearable (which is odd because they were already gently used. Is this why the original owner donated them/sold them?). I do get some pinching near the widest part of my foot and upper arch especially if bloated. The fit on the Bryr are perfect; comfortable for long walks and travel followed by a wedding. I wore my Chloes for 24 hours straight and my feet weren’t hurting at all. For quick errands or dinner, the No. 6 are a fun alternative.(Since originally writing this, I am happy to report, the No. 6 have stretched out a bit more.) I find both soles to have the same bouncy feel, however the No 6, do feel a bit more rigid.
I do think the leather on the Bryr's is more supple. When I wear these I feel like I am not wearing shoes at all. I will say that the No. 6's more rigid leather is something that could be beneficial if you are just getting into clogs as a snug fit is better for your stability if you're not used to walking in them. The Bryr's have stretched a lot, which pushes my foot a bit more forward. I don't mind and find them more comfortable that way, but I could see if these were an open toe style, it would mean my toes might be over the edge of the shoe base - yuck.

The style... while these aren’t necessarily the same base, the feel very similar on the foot. Though the No.6 are a bit more snug. I do really adore the wedge base on the No. 6, yes they feel more modern and perhaps more versatile. As they aren’t so polarizing like a clog is. It looks classy for most occasions. Now, that’s not to say that I don’t adore the way clogs are, but its nice to have the option. The Bryr’s are a classic clog shape with a bit of extra leather wrapping around the foot. I do love this touch too, again making it feel more modern.
For reference, both are a 3 inch heel. Other than the base, the shape of the shoe is very similar side by side. Didn't realize this until the photos were added.
Bit of a break down:
PROS
BRYR - Super soft nubuck leather, non traditional colors
No. 6 - More modern feel, lacquered base better for different weather conditions. I like the sole feel of these better.
CONS
BRYR - 4-6 weeks to receive clogs, although they are hand made.
No. 6 - personally dislike the shape of the vamp, wish it was more round. Seems narrow.
Similar - around the same price point. ($278 for Bryr in Chloe and most closed toe options, $290 for No. 6 in this style).
Differences - No 6 is more easily available through large retailers.
Over all, I do feel both are a great investment shoe, especially if you love clogs. I think this may be my only No. 6 purchase, however, I love the style of the New School Clog, but not wowed by the line. I will stick to my Bryr’s. I feel my bang for my buck is better with the Bryr’s in terms of cost per wear. But I don’t see myself parting with either style any time soon.
Until next time,
Jessika
