Obviously, you’re here for the clogs, but maybe you’re not. That’s fine too. Wooden shoes have won my heart, much to the distain of my partner (often referred to as my clomp shoes).

It all started a few years ago on a thrift trip to an out of the way Goodwill. Locally, they like to smack you with the shoe isles as soon as you walk in, which I can’t say I hate them for, ha. On this fine 90+ degree afternoon, I stumble across a pair of low heeled navy mules, they seemed vintage, but nearly new. I brought them home with me.

Quite possibly this was the pair that started it all. I would hunt racks for new clogs each time I went thrifting, accumulating a few pairs quickly, trying to figure out what I liked best. Low heel wasn’t it. Nursing clogs, nope, not really my thing. I cycled through them and have finally found my niche. (Although I miss my pair of honey closed back Dansko’s - they were just too small, they are on my wish list for after my no buy).

Here’s to highlighting some of my favorites that have made the cut. For reference I am a 6.5 to 7 in shoes with a flat mid-wide foot. Also, let’s note that not all European sizing is cut to the same size. Details of each shoe below.

From top:

*Swedish Hasbeens Zip It Emy - size 38, I have to wear these with a thick sock, they are slightly too big. Bought from a small retailer in Europe,I was sent the wrong size, but it wasn’t worth my time to exchange. I did get them for a steal though.

*Mia Elsa Clog - size 7. True to size and my most worn clog out of all. They go with anything, the thick sole is so comfortable.

Bryr Chloe Clogs in Agave - the newest to my collection and the smallest size in a 6. I fell in love with color first. Sadly, a limited run. But you can check Bryr’s website for custom made clogs.

Bryr Emma T-Strap in Fennel - size 7, these were my first Bryr purchase, from their sample sale, while they are a tad too big I love the earthy yellow-green color. Bryr's clogs fit the best in my opinion.

*Mia Greta Clog - size 7. Not a huge fan of open toes, if you can sense a trend. But again, I am a sucker for this sole and my toes don’t slip too far forward.

*Swedish Hasbeens Lotta T-Strap (similar here) size 37. I can’t part with these, though I have tried. I love the extra chunky block heel and the gorgeous patina I got out of the leather. Least comfortable out of all.
